What is it?
Linear Interpolation lets you play sounds with better sound quality,  but it slows down the computer.

Notes  
The main reason you would want to turn off Linear Interpolation is if the computer is having trouble playing multi-track sounds.

Same as the Linear Interpolation check box in "Sound Out" Preferences.
